About Pastor Dan Brueckner
Pastor Dan Brueckner was born in Mexico in 1967 to parents who were missionaries there. He lived in southern Mexico until he was 12 years old. His family then moved to Minnesota where his father started a home church.
Later Dan moved to Germany as a missionary. In 1987 he married his high school sweetheart, Shelley. While living in Germany, three sons were born to them, John, Joshua and Paul. In Germany they shared the gospel with refugees who came from many different parts of the world. Before the fall of communism they had the privilege of sharing the gospel behind the iron curtain to a people who were taught that there is no God. They witnessed the Berlin wall come down and saw communism crumble. Many doors were opened to them in Eastern Europe.
After 8 years of living in Germany the Lord called them to work as missionaries in Macedonia. They lived there for 3 ½ years. There they saw the Lord do many wonderful works.
The guiding hand of the Lord then lead them to Vermont. The Lord opened a door for Dan to become the pastor here at Swanton Christian Church where they have been serving now since 2001. He continues to preach overseas occasionally. Since living in Vermont, the Lord has blessed them with a wonderful family.
